Holy wow, what a beautiful spread! (And that tree!)

I've wondered for years about the provenance of melba toast--and whether it shared a history with peach melba. Now, of course, we have the tools to answer these questions easily. The problem is remembering the question! Thanks for the memory jog!

Well, I'm surprised there is no Melba cocktail. Maybe that will be your claim to fame.

I do love all things Melba--toast, peach--all of it.

That Melba was actually made by our Mother, back when your kids were visiting one summer.
