All things must come to an end and my time in Colorado to be with Lilah was no exception. I rolled out on a snowy but sunny Wednesday morning in early April, headed east into the rising sun.
Skipping wood nymph Lilah farewell dances barefoot in the snow under the watchful eye of Neian. Goodbye, girls!
I traveled off the interstates for as long as I could, threading through the plains of Kansas.
Finding balance in the geographical center of the United States, I rested and enjoyed the sky.
I pushed on through the Heartland, listening to a 61 song James McMurtry playlist.
Arrived in Ohio on Friday mid-day, visited Aunt Sophie at the county home, keeping my promise that I made to her on the Friday after Thanksgiving when I was headed the other direction. And I made her another promise--that I would bring her big sister Josephine to visit her. Then I headed home to unload and go and collect Mom.
