Joann's Italian family from Florence was visiting so we spent a fun Friday touring around Centre Furnace Museum and out at Big Spring Spirits. The three generations that surround Joann are Emma, Olimpia and Francie. Francie is a young 85 year old who left Ozone Park in 1960, married an Italian, and never came back. Francie was the daughter of Aunt Jenny, Joann's next door neighbor, her Italian grandmother by proximity. Francie extended a warm welcome to Josephine to come and visit--and she just may do that!
